Creative Carers
Threads of Connection
26 September – 11 November 2026
The Creative Carers Exhibition features a collection of artworks made by participants on the Creative Carers programme over the last year.
This exhibition is a moment of celebration. It recognises the creativity of family carers across West Cork, the time taken to explore that creativity, and the joy shared and connections made in the process. Creative Carers is a strand of the Arts for Health Partnership Programme. It is for anyone who looks after a family member in the home or through a care setting. It offers a range of creative workshops for learning new skills, meeting people, connecting with services, and peer support.
The workshops are organised in partnership with Family Carer’s and Older Person’s Development Workers. Creative Carers takes place in multiple locations across West Cork, and is facilitated by a team of professional artists.
