A creative, reflective, peer-support initiative designed for mothers in the early years of parenting. This initiative is rooted in the psychological concept of Matrescence; the developmental transition into motherhood. Each lightly structured session uses literature, poetry, listening and art as creative catalysts for relaxed conversation and reflection, with babies welcomed alongside their mothers.
The initiative is funded by the 2025/2026 Parent Peer Support Fund.
Róisín Brennan, Psychotherapist and Co-Founder. Alongside her clinical work, Róisín is a founding member of The Together Collective, a community of West Cork based mental health practitioners rooted in the ethos of ‘togetherness’ and committed to community, connection and exploring new ways of working as a collective.
The initiative is funded by the 2025/2026 Parent Peer Support Fund.
