Thriving Together
Community Weaving Project
Workshop: 11 am to 2 pm Saturday 18 October 2025, free of charge.
Everyone welcome from 2 pm to 3.30 pm where the final woven piece will be shown and experiences shared.
Join Lucy Hyland for the ‘Feel Good’ community weaving project exploring how people and place can flourish. Come together in community to learn the art of weaving, discover what connects us and celebrate our shared hopes for a sustainable future.
Bring your curiosity and a small collection of materials to upcycle such as clothing, textile, wools and together the items you’ve gathered will be woven. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.
Workshops will also take place at Bere Island Community Centre, Bere Island on Saturday 11 October from 2 pm to 5 pm and Sherkin Island Community Hall, Sherkin Island on Friday 17 October from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Facilitated by artist and creative facilitator Lucy Hyland @ourselfcarerevolution on behalf of 49 North Street in conjunction with Global Doughnut Economics Day.
