Replicas I Dance Performance By Tipperary Dance

Thursday 30 October I 8:00pm I  €15I BOOKING ONLINE I

Jim O’Driscoll Gallery I 35 mins I

Replicas is a dance work that pushes back against a world that often feels increasingly confined.  The performance leaves room for the audience’s imagination to wander—welcoming ambiguity and imperfection as valid and vital experiences.

Replicas is part of a diptych in which two juxtaposed pieces respond to each other: Replicas and Tremors.

About the Artist/ Company

Founded in 2008 by artists Alexandre Iseli and Jazmín Chiodi, Tipperary Dance is an artist-led organisation and programme located in rural Ireland. Currently under the artistic direction of Alexandre Iseli, Tipperary Dance Festival (16th edition in 2025) and annual programmes have become one of the beating hearts of contemporary dance in Ireland. Tipperary Dance is driven by the belief that dance acts as a vehicle for civic awareness and social cohesion. We place the exchange of experiences and resources at the heart of our practice to fuel reflection and empower the creative capacity of artists and communities. Tipperary Dance builds links with organisations in Ireland and abroad, with the aim of fostering cultural and territorial integration, and international co-operation.

Alexandre Iseli is an Ireland based, Swiss dancer, choreographer, festival curator and arts manager. He is director of Tipperary Dance (www.tipperarydance.com), which he co-founded with Jazmin Chiodi.
Since 2008 he has delivered Tipperary Dance’s international programme supporting the development of dance, as well as Tipperary Dance International Festival (16th Edition in 2025), and co-created a large number of choreographic pieces and films with Jazmin Chiodi.

Murielle Elizéon is a French dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher. She grew up in Southern France, and studied Italian Literature and Dance Aesthetics while completing her dance training. She began her professional dance career in Paris in 1995.
As a dancer/performer/choreographer, she has toured with various dance companies in France (Thomas Lebrun), Switzerland (Joachim Schlömer), Denmark (Soren Sundby, Palle Granhoj), and Germany ( PVC-Tanz, Euhn-Me Ahn). She has also collaborated with theater directors such as Robert Wilson, Tom Schneider and Anna Mac Cracken.

Eleni Roberts Kazouri is a dance performer currently based between Brussels and Athens. She started her studies for dance in Athens and at the same time received her degree in classical piano from the National Conservatory. At the age of 21, Eleni moved to Brussels to attend the school for dance and performing arts, P.A.R.T.S., and since 2022 she has been a freelance artist. Eleni has performed in festivals, such as KDF (Kalamata Dance Festival), EXiiiT Festival (GXIII p.a.r.t.s. festival) and Festival Artonov (2022), creating her own work, participating in different projects, repertories, and creations.

Thomas Belhom is a French composer & musician, originally from Le Mans, lived in Paris, and also for 6 years in Tucson/Arizona, United States. Most recently, he has developed projects whose sound composition contains a dimension closer to sound-design than music. Thomas played drums with the English pop band Tindersticks from 2005 to 2014 and continues to participate in film music by Tindersticks.
Thomas has also composed several solo albums and plays regularly at music festivals, venues, on stage with the Canadian Cots or the Scottish singer guitarist Gareth Dickson.

Sarah Marguier is a multi-disciplinary French artist working across photography, movement-based art and design for performing arts, based between the Pacific Northwest (Portland) and France, while creating and presenting internationally.
Sarah works as a photographer, designer, and collaborator locally and internationally with movement-based artists. She also develops her own projects. She is an ongoing collaborator of the Performing Arts Laboratory Culture Mill based in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, and a current member of the non-profit Gather:Make:Shelter in Portland, Oregon. Sarah is also a trained chef and delights in merging performing arts and food, a cross-pollination between two passions that honours “le vivant”.
