Exploring climate resilience through movement with Tara Brandel, and the sharing of a sound score and discussion by climate adaptation scientist Lydia Cumiskey.
During the session participants will experience the co-created sound piece developed within the Creative Ireland BluePrint project, co-ordinated by MaREI, University College Cork. To create the sound piece BluePrint project artist Sally Walmsley facilitated a co-creation process using soundwalks and creative workshops with flood affected communities in Derry and Tryone to capture their lived experiences of flooding and vision for climate adaptation in the future.
Following the creative experiences, participants will be invited to reflect on the impact of movement and sound in their own climate action journeys. The group will then interactively discuss the value of using creativity to meaningfully engage and communicate climate risk within places and with decision-makers to leverage systems change.
