Wit & Whimsy; Yin & Collapse is an ongoing research project exploring the intersections of humor, movement, and meditation. Investigating yin yoga as both a physical practice and a performative structure, we experiment with slowness, surrender, and breath as counterpoints to the relentless pace of contemporary life. Through dance, theatre, and live music, we engage humor as a tool for coping, connecting, and confronting—probing the tensions between authenticity and artifice, stillness and absurdity.
This research invites us to ask:
How can laughter function as an act of resilience?
Can softness be radical?
We invite you to join us for a sharing of our research. The session will include guided yin yoga and meditation, as well as performed excerpts from the work in progress, which is intended to evolve into a participatory stage show. You are welcome to take part or simply observe.
Following the session, we’d love to gather for a short feedback conversation with anyone who wishes to share reflections on the experience.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a yoga mat if you have one.
